The V5 tag is a widely used epitope tag that enables reliable detection, purification, and characterization of recombinant fusion proteins through highly specific antibody recognition. This Mouse IgG2a V5-Tag monoclonal antibody (Code: CSB-MA000161M1m) is generated against the synthetic GKPIPNPLLGLDST peptide conjugated to KLH, supplied in a non-conjugated liquid format, and purified to >95% by Protein A, providing excellent purity, high specificity, and consistent batch-to-batch performance. As a dedicated tag antibody, it recognizes V5-tagged recombinant proteins independently of the fused protein, making it a dependable reagent for diverse recombinant protein research workflows. Validation studies demonstrate specific WB detection of multiple V5-tagged fusion proteins with observed molecular weights corresponding closely to their predicted sizes. Strong immunoreactive bands are maintained across antibody dilutions from 1:1000 to 1:640000, while recombinant V5-tagged protein remains detectable with inputs as low as 1.56 ng. Immunofluorescence analysis of transfected HEK293F cells reveals distinct positive intracellular staining at a 1:100 dilution, and immunoprecipitation assays efficiently enrich V5-tagged proteins from transfected HEK293F lysates with no comparable enrichment in the control IgG sample. Validated for ELISA, WB, IF, and IP, this antibody is well suited for recombinant protein expression analysis, subcellular localization studies, affinity purification, protein interaction research, and routine V5 tag-based molecular biology applications.
